Congratulations to Valvasor Library Krško for making it to the finalists of the international prestigious award!
Every year, the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA) awards prizes to new general libraries built in the past year. Valvasor Library Krško has been selected as one of the four finalists among strong competition from libraries in Barcelona, Sydney, and Shanghai. Library director, Urška Lobnikar Paunović, highlights their success in combining architecture with sustainable IT solutions. We take pride in being a part of this story with a significant role in library automation.
For Valvasor Library and its users, we developed software and hardware solutions and executed RFID smart shelves, RFID self-server, and 24-hour return of materials with sorting systems, all in accordance with architectural guidelines and global technological trends. Naturally, we also ensured the protection of library materials against theft and equipped staff workstations with RFID technology.
The excellent collaboration between library staff, Krško municipality, and architects Vero Klepej Turnšek and Tadej Dobrajc paved the way for tailor-made technological solutions. This has enabled an enhanced user experience for both library employees and members.
Congratulations to the entire team!
